Setting up Template or Checklist (Tag / Tag Group) and CAG - Tag Management

Tag Management

  • Transforms check list / log sheet into Tag & Tag Group format
  • Systematic hierarchy / grouping and user friendly tag management tools
  • Supports analog and message data types
  • Tag Import / Export utility tool in Excel to allow batch of tag creation or modification

ODM-Manager provides easy to use graphical user interface for user to perform tag configuration and management. In case of huge number of tag configuration, ODM enables user to perform tag configuration in Excel format, where later the excel file can be imported into ODM database via the Tag Import/Export functions. With this tool, it reduces the engineering time in transforming log sheets into the ODM system.

Tag Terms & Definitions (1)

A Tag represents a data collection / measurement point where user will record and store the data in the system.

    • Examples: Eng Fuel Temp, Vent Fan Status, etc

A Tag Group Tag Group is a group of tags, which can be referred as an inspection task, particular area, sections, equipment or component of your plant

    • Example:  SMP-A à COTP-801à Gas Engine

Data collection route in ODM is classified with reference to Tag Group, where all data collection point (Tag) is grouped and its logging sequence is defined.

All the tags, that are defined under one Tag Group (whether it is under the sub groups or parent of the group), is considered as a Data Collection Route in ODM System. Whenever a tag in different groups is triggered in the system, the particular data collection route is started.

Tag Terms & Definitions (2)

ODM supports two types of tag:

    • Analog Tag

It is used to represent numeric type data input such as reading of temperature, pressure, flow rate, etc (e.g. 40 DegC and 10 bar).

    • Message Tag
It is used to represent message or text data type input, where a list of pre-set message text is made available by administrator for user to choose from.
It is usually used in visual inspection check list with data input such as OK / NOK, ON / OFF, Running / Standby, etc.
