Corrective Action Guides (CAG)

Corrective Action Guides enables user to create and maintain the CAG or diagnostic rules in ODM which later will be assigned to respective Tag, such that whenever the CAG condition is triggered, the CAG action will be displayed to the field workforce.
 
This feature enables workers’ knowledge and experiences to be retained systematically within the ODM system.
 

Managing CAG Template

The CAG feature enables user to create and maintain the corrective action guide rules or diagnostic rules in ODM which later will be assigned to respective Tag, such that whenever the CAG condition is triggered, the CAG action will be displayed to the field workforce. This feature enables workers’ knowledge and experiences to be retained systematically within the ODM system.
 
Create / Modify Corrective Action Guide Template:
    1. Click on the “Corrective Action Guide” and the CAG template configuration process will be started.
    2. List of CAG templates that has been created will be listed out with respective revision number and last modification date.
    3. Click on the “+” icon to start creating a new CAG template. To modify the existing CAG template, user just clicks on the “Edit” icon of the selected the CAG and its details information will be displayed.
Important: Once a tag is already assigned with CAG, the specified CAG rules is not allowed to be removed or to be modified with additional CAG linkage
 
1. Defining CAG:

Each CAG consists of five levels of configuration and all need to be configured correctly before it can be saved. The five levels are:
    • CAG Template name
    • Equipment name
    • Section name
    • Parameter name
    • CAG condition and action
To create any of above CAG levels, simply right click on the selected level and select “Add”.
To perform modification for each level, user is required to select the level from the CAG explorer, modify the text at the bottom and click on the “Save” button to save the modification.
When creating or modifying the CAG Parameter, user is required to define the data type of the parameter by selecting from the drop down list. The type of data that is supported is analog and message.
 
 

2. Configure CAG Condition & Action:

 

 
Configuring CAG Condition & Action:
    1. CAG triggering condition can be configured by right clicking on the CAG Parameter and select “Add”. ODM’s CAG function supports up to five levels of triggering conditions, where it enables user to configure more complicated rules by using the “And” and “Or” logic.
    2. Once the triggering conditions are configured, the action from this condition can be configured, namely to:
      • Show message: to display messages that provide advices or guideline to the field workforce
      • Create work notification: to inform field workforce to create a work notification
      • Link to CAG: to link to other CAG parameter, such that it provides further linkage of logic
      • Log Tag: to inform field workforce to log additional data
3.  Click on the “Apply” button to save the Condition & Action configuration.
 
 
3. Linking to other CAG
Linking of CAG Parameters is one of the important features within the CAG function. It enables user to develop more comprehensive and more complete CAG logic.  
To link to other CAG parameters:
    1. User just simply click on the “Link to CAG” button and the “Multiple Link To” window below will be displayed.
    2. Select the CAG (section name) and all its related CAG parameters will be listed.
    3. Choose the selective CAG parameters required by clicking on the parameters and the selected parameters will be displayed on the top right corner.
    4. The selected parameters are comes in sequence from top to bottom. To change its sequence, simply use the “drag & drop” method to move the selected parameters from top to bottom or vice versa.
Note: Only section within the same CAG template is allowed to be linked to.
 
 

4. Assigning CAG to Tag

 

In order to enable a tag to be assigned to a CAG rules that has been configured in the CAG Template:
    1. Click on the “CAG Assignment” check box or the CAG browse button as shown in below figure.
    2. The following CAG Assignment windows will be displayed.
    3. Select the CAG template from the CAG explorer and all the related CAG parameters will be listed in the table below.
    4. Click on each CAG parameters and assign the tag to them.
    5. Once all tags are assigned with CAG, click on the “Save” button to save the configuration.
